Description

Participants will explore national and global policy agendas on partnership in order to understand the role of leadership in creating and extending practice beyond organisational boundaries. Opportunities and challenges for, and consequences of, collaborative practices will be examined through policy, research and scholarly lenses and applied to participants' work contexts. The dynamic between networking and learning will be foregrounded to support the potential of multi-agency learning communities.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course students will be able to:
1. articulate policy agendas around networking, collaboration and partnership;
2. demonstrate understanding of bi-cultural partnership in Aotearoa New Zealand
3. cultivate collective leadership beyond organizational boundaries
4. identify the characteristics of effective learning communities
5. articulate a process to build capacity for organisational learning
6. formulate action plans for sustaining partnership through learning

Forum discussions 10% You are required to submit five forum postings related to the readings for the course during semester. These should be around 250 words in length and must specifically identify and engage with one of the readings from the course. The recommended dates are: July 26, August 9, August 23, September 20 and October 4.
Essay 06 Sep 2021 45% Choose ONE of two topics. Word limit, 3,500 words Due date: Monday 6 Sept 2021 at 11.00pm
Learning organisation assessment, and analytical essay 18 Oct 2021 45% Word limit: 2.500 words Due date: Monday 18 Oct 2021 at 11.00pm
