General Notes on the Assessment of Work in EDEM673:For each assignment, assessment will include the following:(a) Legibility and writing style, e.g. accuracy of punctuation; directness and clarity of expression; structure of sentences and paragraphs; coherence of ideas; depth of understanding; completeness of report/case study. More than five mistakes per page can be considered excessive.(b) Organisation and presentation, e.g., clear headings, full and consistent referencing (where relevant).(c) All recordings (video or audio) must be clearly audible.
Basic requirements for EDEM 673 (a) Satisfactory assignments postmarked by the due dates: The third Friday of April, the first Friday of September and the last Friday of October. (b) Evidence of satisfactory professional supervision (at least 15 sessions); (c) 450 hours of approved counselling experience (itemised-see p.7) plus 50 hours of professional development (see page 8). At least 280 of the 450 hours must be actual face-to-face counselling hours with individuals, families, couples, groups; 170 hours may include activities listed as non face-to-face on p. 7; the remaining 50 hours will meet the criteria for professional development/ongoing training (see p.7 and p.8). (d) A satisfactory report from your administrative supervisor on your counselling and related tasks. (We have a form for this purpose that we post to your supervisor in September.) Please note that you may begin any of the assignments after 22 November of the year in which you complete EDUC 662 and 658. You may submit any of the assignments at an earlier date. You do not have to wait until the required date to submit any particular assignment. Our assessment of material submitted early, however, will coincide with the due dates.
