An advanced course on logic theory and its application to the analysis, synthesis and simulation of digital logic circuits with application to computer architecture. An intermediate level coverage of computer architectures; including execution architectures: superscalar, VLIW/EPIC and DSPs; memory architectures, including cache design; instruction architectures. Practical implementation of computer architectures using a hardware description language with specific application to the design of microprocessors.
