Description

Modelling, analytical and numerical mathematics for solving chemical engineering problems, including algebraic systems, ordinary and partial differential equations, complex numbers, Fourier and Laplace transforms.

Final Exam 45%
Laboratories 10% Laboratories will be marked on attendance and completion of lab tasks. For each computer lab up to three marks will be given (1 - attended 2 - adequate attempt 3 - good achievement
Notebook submissions 5% For three labs, students will be required to submit well-structured, functioning and well-documented notebooks. These will be worth up to 5%. If fewer than three labs are submitted, the marks will be reduced in proportion to the number submitted.
Test 25 Mar 2024 20%
Assignment 1 29 Apr 2024 10%
Assignment 2 29 May 2024 10%
