Introduction to Electrical and Computer Engineering design principles. Electronic circuit simulation leading to a design-and-build project including circuit design and simulation, printed circuit board design, and construction of a working device with documentation. Documentation preparation.
Topics covered include:● Mechanical analysis, drawing and design using Solidworks● Circuit analysis and simulation ● PCB design and assembly● Engineering design process
At the end of this course, the student will be able to: 1. Formulate requirements and specifications for simple design problems.2. Apply design strategies and techniques, evaluation methods and technical knowledge to design hardware and software systems.3. Demonstrate professional communication of a design.4. Use reflective practices.
This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop the Graduate Attributes specified below:
