Computer control architecture and components, transducers and interfaces, actuators, programmable logic controllers, instrumentation techniques, data acquisition, supervisory control.
The course introduces students to sensors, instrumentation system error and analysis, instrumentation techniques, and instrumentation and control applications. The instrumentation and control concepts are reinforced through a series of six laboratories. These labs include: data acquisition and sequence control, process automation, and sensing and control of actuators. At the end of course, students will:• Understand and apply instrumentation and control techniques.• Understand and implement Programmable Logic Control.
