Description

This course examines current European Union foreign policy activities which include peace and reconciliation; a growing security role for Europe in terms of an autonomous EU military capacity; and an international diplomatic role.

Prerequisites

Subject to approval of the NCRE Director.

Assessment and grading system

•      Final essay max 2000 words (all inclusive) of a topic related to the course to be submitted within 72 hours -> working according to schedule and being concise is part of the learning experience: 40%
• Active in-class participation, commentator: 10%
• Individual CSDP (Common Security Defence Policy) Research Essay (3,500 words) and CSDP PPT presentation: 40%
• Effective participation 10%
