Syllabus:
Principles and practice of tree identification; Nature and location of the world's forests. Roles of forests in conservation of soil, water, and biodiversity; in amenity and recreation; and in the provision of forest products. Forests and climate change. Management of forests to provide the services required by the community

Learning Outcomes

To identify significant tree species, to consider the nature and location of the world's forests and the services they provide, and the role of sustainable forest management in achieving these services.
