Description

Special Topic: Business and Tourist French for Beginners

This course is intended for those who have little or no previous knowledge of the French language and who want to acquire an introductory knowledge of communication in French when visiting Francophone countries either for pleasure or business.  The course will provide students with basic grammatical structures, mechanisms for writing business letters and vocabulary particularly adapted for business and tourist purposes.  A strong pass in this course may lead to acceptance for enrolment in FREN122 at the discretion of the Director of the French Programme.

Weekly tests on Thursday mornings (5 tests).
