Special Topic
A special topic may be a course in another subject, or a specially designed course to take advantage of the particular expertise of a visiting lecturer, or a course to provide for the special needs of a particular student. Enrolment in a special topic requires approval of the Head of Department, and students wishing to propose a special topic must normally present a proposal well in advance of formal enrolment.

PrerequisitesStudents should normally be enrolled in BSc Hons Geology or MSc Geology or a Postgraduate Diploma in these subjects. 300 Level students may take this course as a special paper with the permission of the Head of Department.
