This course will provide students with an understanding of ways in which evidence is used in health decision making, in health promotion, clinical care and health policy, and the social science tools which underpin much health research.
1. Students will be able to identify three elements of critical appraisal of any medicine or public health academic literature or description of primary studies.2. The student will be able to identify the steps of conducting a systematic review and appraisal of literature.
This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop the Graduate Attributes specified below:

Students know and can critically evaluate and, where applicable, apply this knowledge to topics/issues within their majoring subject.
