Description

This course is an interdisciplinary course that gives a comprehensive overview of project management concepts, models and techniques. It also provides hands on tutorials on the project management software, MS Project.

Project management is a critical factor in improving business efficiency and effectiveness by ensuring that projects meet objectives within set budgets and timelines. Effective project management promotes better team communication and collaboration, leading to data-driven decision-making. The increasing demand for project managers reflects the recognition of their significant contribution to business success. Beyond task management, proficient project management delivers superior outcomes, boosts employee satisfaction, and brings various advantages such as time and cost savings, improved internal communication, better decision-making, and the ability to learn from previous achievements. With the growing prevalence of project-based work, individuals are increasingly assuming project management roles, either through traditional qualifications or practical experience.
