Description

The course addresses the topic of leadership in relation to the responsibility of the leader towards various stakeholders (e.g. employees, shareholders, community, suppliers, and environment) in both national and international context. In the course we evaluate advanced leadership theory and build practical leadership capabilities.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course you should be able to:

Understand and apply current theory and practice on:
-leadership integrity; what do we really mean when we call for leadership?
-stakeholder engagement; who is effected by, and can positively affect our leadership?
-building employee capacity; how does our leading liberate others?
-leadership with purpose; what is our leadership for?
-leadership between inspiration and reality; what do we do when our ideals ?

Timetable Note

All classes require student attendance and for students to be prepared for participating in discussions relating to the assigned readings or tasks. Students should expect to, in addition to class time, study for about 6-8 hours per week.
