A listening-based course which covers a variety of topics on selected aspects of Western music. The course is for students who enjoy music and wish to increase their knowledge and interest, but do not wish to be involved in theoretical aspects.
Students will, however, be expected to listen widely to unfamiliar music, and to set aside regular times for this. In addition to the Central Library resources of books (Level 6) and CD collection (Level 2), the School of Music's own CD and record library and listening facilities are available to students on this course.
