Description

Advanced music theory (aural perception and analysis of, and writing exercises in chromatic harmony)

This course reinforces the concepts taught in Materials of Music 1 and 2 and continues to develop familiarity with harmonic practices in tonal music.  Regular class attendance and participation will be necessary to pass this course.

Test 1 02 Apr 2008 30% Harmonic practice test in the areas of Aural, Writing, and Harmonic Analysis (10% each)
Test 2 03 Jun 2009 40% Harmonic practice test in the areas of Aural (15%) and Writing (25%)
Test 3 04 Jun 2009 30% Test on writing harmonisation
