Goal of the CourseThe goal of this course is to provide students with a design-led introduction to material science to be able to isolate the requirements that materials must meet to perform in a design context. Students should be able to identify important material properties, understand the fundamental science behind those properties and use their knowledge to select a material suitable for a specific design.
