Description

The objectives of this course are to extend the knowledge of cognitive psychology and its content, theory and methods by discussing recent developments, by close study of classic work, and by considering the application of cognitive psychology to topical community issues.

The objectives of this course are to extend the knowledge of cognitive psychology and its content, theory and methods by discussing recent developments, by close study of classic work, and by considering the application of cognitive psychology to topical community issues.

This is a seminar-based course team taught by Ewald Neumann and Paul Russell.  The course focuses on substantial and contemporary developments in cognitive psychology in general and reflects extensive contributions from cognitive neuroscience.  Students will write four major essays and are encouraged to submit drafts for feedback prior to final submission for assessment.

PSYC208 Cognition and PSYC333 Biological Psychology or similar undergraduate
courses are recommended as preparation.
