Description

Advanced Psychopathology

This course is restricted to the students selected for clinical training each year.

Advanced Psychopathology is a broad survey of adult and child psychopathology research.  The focus is on description (including classification, epidemiology, etc), etiology, and to some degree assessment.  The seminar forms a building block for the next year's focus on intervention.  We suggest that incoming students review their material from abnormal psychology (PSYC335 or the equivalent) over the summer prior to the course, and carefully review the DSM-IV-TR to refamiliarise themselves with psychopathology.
