Psychotherapeutic Methods
A primary goal of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of theconceptual foundations of cognitive and behavioural therapies for adult disorders.To this end, the course will explore the theory, application and processes of cognitiveand behavioural intervention approaches with reference to specific psychologicaldisorders or problematic behaviour patterns, as well as highlight pertinent empiricaldata on the effectiveness of the various psychological interventions reviewed.Preparation:Admission to the clinical psychology training programme, and satisfactory completionof the first year training elements of the clinical programme (PSYC641, PSYC642,PSYC643)
