This course will introduce and explore a variety of early childhood educational contexts and philosophies to demonstrate teaching and learning experiences and practices for infants, and toddlers, with their families and whanau.

On the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:Describe pedagogies and philosophies that construct early childhood experiences for infants and toddlers in Aotearoa New ZealandRecognise the role of the early childhood professional with families and whānau in regards to their infants and toddlersDevelop an effective and appropriate range of strategies and resources to support curriculum experiences with infants and toddlersUnderstand the learning contexts in Aotearoa NZ for Infants and Toddlers
