Description

A wide-ranging introduction to Antarctica and the Southern Ocean. The three main areas for study are: planet Earth and Antarctica, Antarctic plants and animals, and human aspirations and concerns for the Antarctic, including the early exploration of the continent and present day conservation issues. Nineteen staff members from 10 university departments contribute to this course.
