Atkins, P. W. , De Paula, Julio; Elements of physical chemistry ; 4th ed. ; Oxford University Press ;, 2005.

The Elements of Physical Chemistry also contains many helpful worked examples and tutorial problems. This text will also be useful for those intending to enrol in CHEM243.

Students intending to enter the BSc(Hons) programme (CHEM273) or intending to enrol in advanced physical chemistry courses (300-level in future years) are strongly advised to use P.W. Atkins and J. de Paulo, Atkins’ Physical Chemistry (8th Ed.)

All students should have one of the above textbooks or regular access to a copy. (Copies may be available on short term loan from the Physical Sciences Library.)
