Students are required to practise coaching in a youth sport (U14) environment with guidance. This course builds on Practicum 1 to further develop coaching skills and processes. Students will apply coaching principles and theory, and self-reflect on their coaching experiences.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:Plan, implement and evaluate training sessions to ensure continuity and progression are based on learning objectives.Demonstrate and critically reflect on a variety of personal presentation skills.Critically reflect on the effects of the motivational climate on learning.Demonstrate and evaluate appropriate session management techniques.Evaluate and reflect on an ability to ensure an inclusive coaching environment.Apply and critically analyse coaching/teaching models to their sport setting.
