Description

A German language course that follows on from GRMN 114, based on the communicative approach.

GRMN115 is a second half year course in the German language that builds on elementary knowledge gained in GRMN114; at the same time it is an ideal starting point for other students who have already had a year or two of instruction in high school, or who had some German many years ago. Like GRMN114, the course is run in several different streams which meet 4 times each week and which emphasize practical self-expression and communication in everyday settings. By the end of the course most students will be equipped to describe and participate in a large number of ordinary activities; the grammatical structures learned along the way are moreover the most important and frequently used ones in the Germanlanguage. GRMN115 is thus a logical step for anyone seeking a good basic comprehension of German, and an absolutely necessary one for those who wish to go on to more advanced study.

Prerequisites

RP: This course assumes at least one year of study or equivalent competence in elementary German language.
