Health Information Management
This course will examine how Information Technology meets the information needs of health provider organisations, practitioners, and consumers, and how IT can play a significant and positive role in the provision of healthcare services. By the end of the HLTH402/602 course students will be expected to appreciate requirements and complexities of information management in the health sector, systems and strategies currently in use in New Zealand to manage health information, processes required to identify and meet stakeholder information technology requirements and how development of information technology may enhance the delivery of healthcare.
