This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to be a successful team leader in both face-to-face and virtual settings.
The overall objective of this course is to increase the effectiveness of participants as team leaders and members. By the end of the course you will:1. Have improved self-awareness of your behaviour in group settings; 2. Have a conceptual understanding of the latest theory and research relating to team leadership and group dynamics, and be able to apply that understanding to a “live” work team;3. Have learned and practised a wide range of practical team leadership skills such as managing conflict, decision-making, communication, facilitating meetings and goal setting.
