Description

Neural and biochemical bases of behaviour including topics in behavioural pharmacology, behavioural neuroscience, and neuropsychology. Laboratory classes cover basic brain structure and function.

This course will comprise lectures on neural and neurochemical bases of normal and abnormal behaviour and including psychoactive drug action and neuropsychology.  Laboratory classes cover basic brain structure and function.  PSYC333 is recommended preparation for PSYC404 Human and Animal Neuropsychology, PSYC416 Cognitive Psychology, PSYC433 Research in Behavioural Neuroscience and Pharmacology, and for the postgraduate Clinical Psychology Programme.
