Description

An introduction to organisational psychology, personnel psychology and economic psychology.

The course provides an introduction to three related areas of applied psychology, namely organisational psychology, (decision-making, motivation, work attitudes, leadership, organisational ethics and justice, groups, organisational politics, multi-cultural work behaviour and conflict), personnel psychology (performance appraisal, personnel selection, psychological testing, training and organisational development), and economic psychology.  PSYC336 provides an opportunity for a reasonably detailed study of one major field of applied psychology by students who intend to conclude their university study at the bachelor's level or to proceed to postgraduate study in other areas of psychology.
