Description

A language course following on from SPAN 101, for those with limited knowledge of Spanish.

SPAN102 is a continuing Spanish course that assumes prior knowledge with Spanish at the 101 level. This course is communicative in approach and emphasises the development of all four language-skills. This course’s main objectives are to continue to increase the students’ ability in speaking, listening, writing and reading the Spanish language, as well as being exposed to some of the cultural aspects of the Hispanic world.  This course will build on the skills learned in SPAN101 to extend the students’ ability to express themselves in speech and in writing. The overall emphasis is on realistic situations that could prove useful in a practical sense. This course will set students on a path that will increase their knowledge of the language and culture of the Spanish-speaking world.
