For New Zealand, understanding the workings of the world's biggest economy is crucial to the success of the state. This paper offers students the chance to examine the hidden wiring behind the European Union and its Member States. How are decisions taken in the EU? What chances to individuals have to influence them? What can the European Parliament do? Who exactly is in charge? Perhaps most importantly: what can people do if it all goes wrong?EURO333 is a second-semester course in 2010.
