Description
This course equips students with the knowledge, skills, and understandings necessary to develop programmes that enhance the nutrition and physical activity of people in Aotearoa. Students will explore how the determinants of health influence nutrition and physical activity, and research effective health promotion strategies. An opportunity for health promotion experience will provide students with practical skills.

Human Development across the Lifecourse
Description
The course provides an understanding of the biological, socio-cultural and individual factors that influence individual and universal human lifespan development. Ethical concepts and the major theories of human development are introduced, and the focus is on lifespan development in the context of Aotearoa New Zealand. In this course, you will develop skills that will allow you to critically evaluate research that determines how early life influences impact on development in multiple domains in older age groups.
