This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to be a successful team leader in both face-to-face and virtual settings.

Learning Outcomes

The overall objective of this course is to increase the effectiveness of participants as team leaders and members. By the end of the course you will:

1. Have developed your self-awareness of your own behaviour in group situations;
2. Have a sound understanding of the theory and research relating to team leadership and group dynamics, and be able to apply that understanding to a teambuilding intervention.
3. Have learned and practised a wide range of interpersonal and group skills such as managing conflict, decision-making, communication, running meetings and team leadership.
