The aim of this course is to give students advanced proficiency in Spanish across the four skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and moreover across a range of registers. Students’ linguistic skills will be improved through constant readings, cultural debates, and writing compositions and reviews. This course provides specialized cultural and linguistic information through intensive, geographically organized study.  Students will be able to communicate with native speakers at an advanced level.  Regular work for this course includes oral presentations, compositions, tests and a mid-year examination.  At the end of this course students will have the ability to vary their Spanish according to the country involved (e.g. Mexico, Argentina, Cuba, etc.).
