This level 8 course is an introductory course for future English language teachers who have minimal or some previous experience working with students who learn English as a second/foreign/additional language (hereinafter L2). It is also suitable for in-service teachers with considerable experience but little previous training on teaching L2 English learners. The course aims to enable English language teachers to effectively teach listening, speaking, reading, and writing in a real and virtual classroom. Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to acquire advanced theoretical and pedagogical knowledge and understanding of teaching English skills, design and evaluate lesson plans for teaching skills, evaluate and choose materials and resources that are suitable for learners, design effective assessment and provide feedback, and confidently teach an online lesson with the help of digital technologies.
