This course will build on the work of HLTH316 and will provide the practical skills required by students to work collaboratively in the mental health and addictions service sector. This course is specifically focused on the knowledge and skills of a student within the field of addiction services, and by the end of this course, students will be able to demonstrate a range of professional skills including assessment, intervention, and support strategies. Students will be able to critically reflect on their professional practice, contribute to client care and teams in an ethical manner and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to provide client-centered care that promotes recovery and well-being.
