Description

Introduction to the study of individual and group behaviour in organisations in New Zealand, within the context of a global economy.

The course is taught in two parts.  In the first part we examine individual-level topics such as personality differences; theories of motivation and learning; and stress management.

We then move on to discuss team and organisational-level processes, including group dynamics and teamwork; decision-making, communication, power and conflict management; organisational structure and design; organisational culture; and change and innovation

Prerequisites

(1) MGMT101; (2) 18 points 100-level MGMT or MSCI courses.
